Advertiser	Brands which have agreed to partner in this Contest by providing products/vouchers/service/offering.

Contest	Times Black Friday Festival
Contest Management	BCCL and/or organizers who are responsible for the overall conduct of the Contest.
Entry (ies)	Any and all communication sent or shared to BCCL by the Participant (defined below) answering the BlackFriday Festival and sharing the respective image along with their Name, City and response to descriptive question in the Contest
Participant	Any person who has entered the Contest by sharing an Entry.
Prize (s)	Winners may get to be featured in the local TIMS newspaper and may win gift vouchers.
Terms and Conditions ("T&C" or "Terms")	These terms governing the Contest, as may be amended from time to time by the Contest Management.
Winner	Means any successful Participant who is selected on the twofold basis of his/her superior skills and predetermined selection parameters who is thereafter deemed eligible for receiving the Prize herein.

• Objective: To engage with readers by seeking answers to a few questions and giving some readers a chance to win a prize.
• The Contest starts on 3rd August 2024 06:00 and ends on 23rd August 2024 23:59.
• There shall be no registration/entry fee for participating in the Contest. The participation in the Contest is free of cost.
• By participating in the Contest, the Participant agrees to abide by and be bound by these Terms.
• These Terms may be modified without any prior notification. The Participant is advised to regularly review these Terms. If there is any disagreement with any of the Terms and any amendments thereto, the Participant is advised not to participate in the Contest.
• The prizes/rewards may be changed/modified/split/merged/increased or cancelled by the Contest Management based on the number and quality of entries received.
• In the event that no Participant is found to be worthy of inclusion by the Contest Management, the prizes may be cancelled. The decision of the Contest Management in this regard will be final and non-contestable. The Contest Management will not entertain any queries in this regard whatsoever.

• The Participant must be of 18 years of age as on August 1 2024.
• The Contest is open only for cities - Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Jaipur, Gurgaon, Kerala, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Madhya Pradesh, Coimbatore, Mangalore, Mysore, Trichy, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Nagpur and Goa. The Contest Management reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of cities and/or have city specific prizes, even beyond the city mentioned herein based on their discretion.
• There shall be no registration/entry fee for the Contest.
• The winning pictures will be published in our publications and that only first names will be published. By entering in the contest, parents give their permission for publication of the images and names and for their use for the contest compilation related function etc.
• The images other than winning entries, as gathered through this exercise, will be deleted from our systems after 3- 6 months.
• The value and terms of the gift vouchers will vary basis the Advertiser brands who are providing these vouchers. There is NO guarantee that all Participants will win a voucher or a product.
• Winners will be selected randomly based on the quality of responses, number of participations received, and the number of gifts/vouchers made available by the participating Advertisers
• The prize/gift voucher won by the Participant may not be of the same specification or brand/brands as advertised
• Disbursement of the vouchers/gifts will be based on the timestamp recorded during the registration process
• The features of the product, colour, other specifications displayed in the newspapers or the website may defer from the actual gift/product. The Contest Management or their partners will not and cannot be held responsible for any change in product or its specification
• Employees of BCCL, Advertisers, sponsors and partners of the Contest, their affiliates, subsidiaries and group companies are not allowed to participate in the Contest
• The final eligibility of the Participants will be subject to the discretion and approval of the Contest Management
• A Participant may be disqualified if there is any conflict with the sponsor/Advertisers, even if this is identified at any point of time during/after the Contest
• If the Participant is found to have plagiarized any aspect of his/her entry, the Participant will be disqualified with immediate effect, without any prior notice
• The date of announcing the winners can be modified as per the discretion of the Contest Management

• The Winner for the Contest will be selected as per the Terms defined herein.

• All Participants registering with the required details correctly and correct answers selected randomly to win the gift voucher through SMS or WhatsApp. Mere registration does not guarantee that the Participant will necessarily win a voucher/gift/product
• In case of receiving multiple entries with the same mobile number for the same/multiple days of the Contest, the first successful/qualified entry will be eligible to stand a chance to win a prize/gift.
• The prizes and winning title shall not be transferable, assignable or exchangeable and only the Winner and no other person, be it his/her legal heir or any representative or agent (unless necessitated due to unforeseen circumstances and substantiated by documentary proof) can lay a claim. All the prizes are final and shall be given subject to availability. No request for alteration, modification, encashment or transfer of any Prize shall be entertained by BCCL.
• Winners may have to travel, if required, for collecting the reward/prizes on their own travel expense
BCCL will not be making any travel/boarding & lodgings arrangements for the Participants regarding the same. Any costs borne by the Participant for the redemption of the Prize will be borne by the Participant exclusively.
• The number of Prizes to be given are subject to change/modification.
• The Prizes will be provided by the sponsor/Advertiser brands and will not be the responsibility of BCCL. The role of BCCL is to provide the gift voucher/intimation as agreed with the Advertiser's brands.
• These prizes/gifts may be modified without any prior notification by the Contest Management. The Participant is advised to review the Terms of the Contest regularly.
• The Prizes shall neither be transferable nor exchangeable for cash or otherwise.
• The exchange policy (if any) will be applicable as per the terms and conditions defined by the Advertiser. BCCL and partners will not be responsible for the same.
• BCCL shall not be held responsible for the final quality or condition of the gifts/prizes provided by the Advertiser.
• The final eligibility of the Participant will be subject to the discretion and approval of the Contest Management.

• The Contest Management will try to contact the Participant on a best effort's basis.
• Calls will be made to the to the grand prize Winner between 10 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. at the end of the Contest period only. The Contest timelines may be modified by the Contest Management based on their discretion.
• The Contest Management shall not be responsible if a call to a Winner is not successful due to:
  a) Line being busy
  b) Congestion
  c) No answer received
  d) Poor call conditions/unclear reception
  e) Number engaged
  f) Call drop
  g) Other reasons that could render a call unsuccessful or terminate it.
• Efforts will be made to adhere to the defined timelines. However, the defined timelines are subject to change based on circumstances.
• The Contest Management and its associates, partners, sponsors/Advertisers shall not be held accountable/liable for any disruptions, stoppages, interruptions, delays, closure or cancellation of the Contest or any part thereof or final gratification or any part of its processes or public voting due to any reasons or on account of any factors beyond its control and/or due to force majeure events.

• The Participants may be contacted by the Contest Management for any additional information as may be the required from time to time. The Contest Management has the right to ask for documentary proof of information/audit the information provided. If such a request is made and the Participant does not comply within 24 hours from the date the request is made, the Participant could be disqualified from participation in the Contest. Such information provided by the Participant can be verified by the Contest Management.
• The Contest Management will try to contact the Participant on a best effort's basis on the contact number which has been verified by the Participant. In the event it is not possible to contact any Participant to obtain additional information, interview them, obtain documents, coordination for visit etc. such Participants may be disqualified from further participation.
• If, in any State and/or territory or part thereof, the running of this Contest is prohibited, the Participants from such state and/or territory or part thereof shall not be eligible to participate in the Contest. No further notice shall be given by the Contest Management, in this regard.
• The decision taken by the Contest Management shall be final and binding on the Participants of the Contest. No dispute, of whatsoever nature, in this respect shall be entertained by the Contest Management.
• Any expenses, of whatsoever nature, will not be borne by BCCL and the Participant shall have to bear such additional expenses at his/her own expense.
• BCCL shall not be responsible to the Participants or their legal heirs/successors/representatives for any loss, damage personal or property on account of participation in the Contest.
• The Participants hereby irrevocably authorize the Contest Management to use the data gathered during and/or after the Contest in respect of the Participants (including Participant's name, mobile number etc.). This shall be the property of BCCL and its participating sponsors, Advertisers/clients and they shall be entitled to use the same in its communications including marketing promotions and advertisements along with/without BCCL's brand.
• BCCL shall not be liable in any manner for any mishap, accident, injury or damages theft, or any other mishap caused to the individual during the Contest.

• The Contest is valid for residents of India only.
• The Participant agrees that the Participant is legally capable of entering and, if selected, participating in the Contest and agree to the Terms and that the Participant is competent (i.e. Participant are of legal age and mental capacity) and eligible to enter into this legally binding agreement on Participant.
• The Winner will be the Participant who is selected on the basis of mobile phone number that has been verified. It is the Participant's responsibility to produce such document and/or credentials to prove his/her identity. It is the responsibility of the Participant to produce such identity proof and/or credentials at his/her own cost and the same is subject to cross verification by BCCL. Failure to validate identity will result in disqualification.
• The successful Participants/Winners shall be responsible for any additional, incidental expenses required to be incurred to avail and participate in the Contest. All taxes, insurances, transfers, spending money and other incidental and related expenses as the case may be, unless specifically stated, are Participant's sole responsibility. BCCL will not pay any applicable taxes required to be paid for the Participant to claim the gift.
• The Participant warrants and represents to the Contest Management that all information including any communications, software, photos, text, video, graphics, music, sounds, images, footage and other material submitted or recorded in any manner by the Participant or the partners of Contest Management including Contest Management for consideration for the Contest are solely owned by BCCL and do not infringe upon any other individual or organizational rights (illustratively including, without limitation, intellectual property rights). The Participant shall be completely responsible for handling any infringement or alleged infringement and shall indemnify the BCCL (in India or abroad), and the Contest Management from any claims, costs or damages from infringement or alleged infringement of the logo or trademark or the defense of a claim or any costs payable thereof.
• The Participant are entering the Contest at their own will and the Contest Management are not in any way obligated or liable for any loss or costs that the Participant may suffer or incur and nothing is payable to the Participants for participating in the Contest or any event prior to or following the Contest.
• The Participants by sharing an Entry on WhatsApp no. 04071781188 for the purpose of entering the Contest, automatically grants BCCL a royalty-free, irrevocable, worldwide, non-transferable, non-exclusive right and license to use and display such entry, for participation in the Contest, and any intellectual property in relation to and arising out of such participation in the Contest and footage thereof, which shall include trade publications, press releases, electronic posting on BCCL websites, social media handles/ accounts and its publications in any display format selected by BCCL during the Contest or use by BCCL as it deems fit.
• The Contest Management reserves the right to, at its discretion, withdraw or amend or add to the T&C of the Contest at any time, with prospective or retrospective effect, and does not take responsibility for any loss or damage that any individual or organization may suffer as a result of participating or attempting to participate in the Contest, the Contest being withdrawn or its Terms amended.
• All disputes relating to or arising out of the Contest shall be subject to the laws of India and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction at the city from which the respective edition of the newspaper is locally published.
• The Participants shall indemnify BCCL, its employees, officers, contractors, partner or other persons used by them in relation to this Contest and hold them harmless against any loss, claim, action, demands, suits, proceedings, charges, costs, fines, penalties, damages, judgments, expenses or liability (including legal costs) [collectively, "Losses"] arising out of or in connection with any or all claims, that may be brought against the Contest Management or by any third party in connection with the Participants' participation in or winning the Contest, which is inconsistent with any of the warranties and representations made by the Participants, or due to breach of these Terms and shall reimburse BCCL for any loss, costs, expense, or damage to which said indemnity applies. BCCL shall give the Participant prompt written notice of any claim or actions covered by this indemnity, and the Participant shall have the right, at its own expense, to participate in any such action.
• In the event where these Terms do not cover any question or complaint in relation to the Contest, the same will be reviewed by the Contest Management (for all other issues), independent body or legal team as appointed by the Contest Management and deemed necessary.
• The Participant agrees to give full consent unconditionally for BCCL to share any information provided by the Participant with agencies/associates/vendors/third-party service providers working with them with regards to the Contest, it's organization, recording and broadcasting and related activities.
• The decision of BCCL in relation to the interpretation of any of these Terms shall be final and binding on the Participants.

  BCCL shall endeavor to the best of its ability to respond thereto.

• The Contest Management has no obligation to screen the entry material in advance and is not responsible for monitoring entries for the purpose of preventing violation of intellectual property ownership rights, or violations of any applicable laws, rules or regulations. If the Contest Management is notified of submissions or materials that may not conform to the Terms, it may investigate the allegation and determine in good faith and in its sole discretion whether to eliminate such an entry from consideration. The Contest Management has no liability or responsibility to Participants or other users of the Contest website and/or any other mobile app for performance or non-performance of such activities.
• The Contest Management is in no manner whatsoever responsible and/or shall not be held liable in any manner whatsoever, for any physical in-contest management, death, mental trauma caused to any Participant(s)/ Participant(s) in any manner whatsoever, in relation to the Contest.
• The Contest Management, its process advisors/evaluators, its associates, vendors, third-party service providers and sub-contractors cannot and shall not be held accountable/liable for any disruptions/stoppages/interruptions or cancellation of the Contest on account of any factors beyond their control.
• The Participant(s) hereby agree to indemnify the Contest Management or its affiliates against any claims that might arise from their actions or omissions or representations or information provided by them about themselves and about the Participant(s) at any time.
• The Participant(s) agrees that he/she shall hold harmless the Contest Management and BCCL, its employees, officers, sub-contractors or any other person in connection with the prize won and/or in relation to the Contest, including, but not limited to, the procedure in the Contest and shall also not file in person/through any family member and/or third party any applications, criminal and/or civil proceedings in any courts or forum in India against sponsor and/or BCCL /Contest Management to claim any damages or relief.
• BCCL shall put in commercially reasonable efforts to ensure smooth functioning of the Contest website. However, notwithstanding the foregoing, BCCL shall not be liable for:
  (a) any error or failure of the Contest website/mobile app or any other glitch which results in downtime or any malfunctioning in the functioning of the Contest website/mobile app or any part thereof;
  (b) any spam generated messages as a result of Contestant accessing the Contest website/mobile app;
  (c) any lost, late or misdirected computer transmission or network, electronic failures of any kind or any failure to receive entries owing to transmission failures or due to any technical reasons; and
  (d) Other conditions/situations or failures beyond its control, any government order, applicable laws, judicial orders, rules and regulations etc.
• BCCL shall not be liable for any defects/inadequacy, mishap, deficiency, allergy, reaction and/or untoward contingency occurring on account of a quality, manufacturing, customer service or branding issue and/or consumer interest related matters in the Advertiser's products and services (collectively, "Offerings") and/or prizes redeemed by Contest Participants/Winners in lieu of the coupons/gift vouchers and the same would have to be addressed to the respective sponsor/Advertiser/service provider/manufacturer directly.
