Terms and conditions:
This My City My Festival ("Contest") is subject to the following terms & conditions ("T&C"), which may be updated by Bennett, Coleman and Company Limited ("BCCL") having its registered office at The Times of India Building, Dr. D. N. Road, Fort, Mumbai - 400 001 and corporate office at 9-10, Express Building, Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, New Delhi - 110 102, from time to time without prior notice to Contestant (as defined hereafter). For the purpose of this Contest, the term "Contestant" shall mean an individual who fulfils the participation criteria and participates in the Contest in accordance to this T&C. The Contestant confirms to have read and fully understood the T&C at https://printice.timesresponse.com. The Contestant agrees that he/she is entering into the Contest at his/her sole discretion and free will. The participation or registration in the Contest shall be deemed as the acceptance of the T&C by the Contestant.The Contestant is advised to regularly review these T&C. If there is any disagreement with any of the T&C and any amendments thereto, the Contestant is advised not to participate in the Contest.
1. Entry Submission and Eligibility
  • Participation window - 20th October, 6:00 AM hours to 2nd November, 2021 23:59 hours ("Contest Period")
  • No entry fees is required to participate in the Contest and the Contest is being organised as a customer engagement initiative.
  • The Contestant must be of 18 years of age as on the date of participation in the Contest.
  • The Contest is valid for residents of India only.
  • The Contest is open for the readers of 6 cities i.e. Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai. BCCL reserves the right to increase the number of cities and/or have city-specific prizes, even beyond the 6 cities mentioned here based on its sole discretion.
  • Employees of BCCL and sponsors and partners of the Contest their affiliates, subsidiaries,and group companies are not allowed to participate in the Contest.
  • The Contestant may participate in the Contest in the following manner:
Participation through QR Code
  • Contestant must scan the QR code published in the newspaper along with the articles which will direct them to the registration page.
  • Contestant must complete the registration form on the website link received post scanning of the QR code to participate in the Contest
  • Before submitting the entry it is mandatory to 'tick' the given text box "Yes, I want to receive updates regarding the contest" if the box is not ticked, notification regarding gift/voucher code will be not be sent.
  • The submission of the entry will not be complete unless all the questions are answered by the Contestant.
Participation by WhatsApp
  • Contestant must click an image of the article that carries the My City My Festival logo published on the day and send it on 9381959525 on WhatsApp, post which the registration link will be shared with the Contestant.
  • Contestant must complete the registration form on the website link received post fulfilling the aforementioned requirement to participate in the Contest.
  • Before submitting the entry it is mandatory to 'tick' the given text box "Yes, I want to receive updates regarding the contest" if the box is not ticked, notification regarding gift/voucher code will be not be sent.
  • The submission of the entry will not be complete unless all the questions are answered by the Contestant.
Participation through website link
  • Contestant must click on the website link available on Digital/Social media ads and posts/emailer which will direct the Contestant to the registration page.
  • Contestant must complete the registration form on the website link.
  • Before submitting the entry it is mandatory to 'tick' the given text box "Yes, I want to receive updates regarding the contest" if the box is not ticked, notification regarding gift/voucher code will be not be sent.
  • The submission of the entry will not be complete unless all the questions are answered by the Contestant.
  • Contestant should fill in the mandatory details and answer the question by applying their creativity and skills while registering for the Contest.
  • The terms of the gift vouchers will vary basis the brands who are providing these vouchers.
  • The features of the product, colour, other specifications displayed in the newspapers or the website may defer from the actual gift/product. BCCL will not be responsible for any change in product or its specification.
  • A Contestant may be disqualified if there is any conflict with the sponsor, even if this is identified at any point of time during/after the Contest.
  • If the Contestant is found to have plagiarized any aspect of his/her entry or any information provided by the Contestant is found to be incorrect, the Contestant will be disqualified. The date of announcing the winners can be modified as per the discretion of BCCL.
2. Determination of winners
  • The Contestant successfully registering with the required details correctly and answering the question using his/her skills will be selected randomly through computer generated technique to win the prize/gift voucher, and the winners will be intimated through SMS, WhatsApp or email. Registration does not guarantee that the Contestant will win a prize/gift voucher.
  • Number of prizes shall be solely decided by BCCL at its sole discretion. If no Contestants are found to be worthy of inclusion by BCCL, the prizes may be cancelled. The decision of BCCL in this regard will be final and non-contestable. BCCL will not entertain any queries in this regard whatsoever.
  • In case of receiving multiple entries with the same mobile number for the same/multiple articles, the first successful/qualified entry will be eligible to win the prize/gift voucher.
  • Winners to be announced on or before - 30th November, 2021.
  • BCCL's decision determining the winner shall be the final decision and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  • BCCL, at its sole discretion, may modify/change the prize/gift voucher at any time without prior notice.
Prize/gift voucher collection:
  • The winners will be notified through SMS, WhatsApp or email on their registered mobile number/email which was verified during registration.
  • The gift vouchers shall be delivered to the winners through SMS, WhatsApp or email on their registered mobile number/email which was verified during registration.
  • Contestants may be contacted by BCCL for any additional information as may be the requirement from time to time. BCCL has the right to ask for documentary proof of information/ audit the information provided. If such a request is made and the Contestant does not comply within 24 hours from the date the request is made, the Contestant could be disqualified from participation in the Contest.
  • BCCL will try to contact the Contestant on a best effort basis on the mobile number/email which was verified during registration. BCCL shall not be responsible for any lapse in any communication on account of network or technology failure.
  • Any costs borne by the Contestant for the redemption of the prize/gift voucher will be borne by the Contestant exclusively.
  • BCCL will not be responsible for any defects/inadequacy in the products/services redeemed in lieu of the coupons/gift vouchers and the same would have to be addressed to the sponsor/service provider/manufacturer directly. BCCL shall not be liable to replace/exchange the prize/vouchers/products/services at any stage.
  • In case any winner refuses to accept the prize/gift voucher decided for him/her, his participation in the Contest will be declared null and void. Prizes/gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for their value in cash or for other prizes/gift vouchers. Each Prize/gift voucher may have a validity period and the same can be redeemed with the respective sponsors within such validity period as mentioned on the prize/gift voucher. Further, any charge over and above the stated prize/gift voucher shall have to be borne by the Contestant themselves including without limitation travelling, prize/gift voucher collection/delivery charges etc.
  • The prize(s) /gift voucher(s) are non-transferable
  • The Contestant acknowledges and agrees that each respective voucher may have additional terms which shall apply at the time of redemption. The additional terms for the respective vouchers can be located at the end of this T&C.
  • The Contestant shall be solely liable for any other expenses related to the acceptance/use of the prize/gift voucher or participation in the Contest. All/any Government taxes on prize/gift voucher (as applicable), shall be borne by the winner(s) and all deductions, such as tax deduction at source ("TDS"), wherever applicable, shall be made by BCCL in accordance with the Income Tax Act, 1961 or winner shall pay to BCCL such amount.
  • BCCL shall not be responsible for:
    • any delivery, failures relating to the sending or receiving emails/SMS/WhatsApp messages;
    • any spam generated messages as a result of the Contestant accessing the website;
    • any lost, late or misdirected computer transmission or network, electronic failures of any kind or any failure to receive entries owing to transmission failures or due to any technical reasons and
    • Other conditions/situations or failures beyond its control.
Other Terms
  • The Contestant agrees that, he/she will participate in any promotional activities or material, without additional payment or permission, as requested by BCCL. Subject to applicable laws, Contestant hereby grants BCCL, by participating in the Contest and/or accepting a prize/gift voucher, the right to use, in perpetuity the Contestant's information as may be provided by the Contestant, publish and display Contestant's picture, voice, video, statements, quotes which may be adapted, edited or modified, as solely determined by BCCL for advertising, trade, publicity and promotional purposes in any media without notification or approval, all without any additional consideration.
  • The Contestant voluntarily agrees to submit the required documents and personal information to participate in the Contest. Contestant voluntarily consents and permits BCCL to use any personal information that the Contestant provides in accordance with applicable laws for the purposes of this Contest and for any marketing or other purposes. BCCL may also share such information(s) with its affiliates, its service providers and agents for the purpose of this Contest. The information may also be used by BCCL for:
    • recommending various products or services including those of third parties
    • dealing with requests, enquiries and complaints and Contestant related activities
    • marketing products and services and its analysis
    • abiding with laws and law enforcement / regulatory requests
  • BCCL reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Contest and/or the terms & conditions/technical parameters/prize/gift voucher without prior notice in the event of circumstances arising beyond its control that makes it necessary to do so. However, any changes to the terms & conditions/technical parameters or cancellation of the Contest, will be updated/posted on website https://printice.timesresponse.com. It would be the exclusive responsibility of the Contestant alone to keep themselves informed as to any changes in the terms & conditions/technical parameters/evaluation criteria stated for this contest.
  • Decisions of BCCL will be final and binding on all Contestants and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  • The Contest is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. BCCL expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. BCCL does not make any warranty that the Contest and/or emanating results will meet your expectations
  • Entries for the Contest received beyond the Contest Period as stated above, shall be rejected. Further, incomplete entries or entries where the prescribed format for sending the entry has not been followed shall also be rejected. No correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
  • BCCL will in no event be liable for any damages whether direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential arising out of the Contest or use of the prize(s) /gift voucher(s) given through the Contest or use of the information shared by the Contestant. In the event any disclaimer is held invalid, the liability of BCCL under this Contest shall not exceed the value of lowest single prize/gift voucher.
  • The Contestant hereby agrees and undertakes not to hold BCCL and/or or any of their group entities or affiliates, their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, vendors, responsible for or liable for, any actions, claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, charges and expenses that the Contestant may/might have suffered, sustained or incurred, or claims to suffer, sustain or incur, by way of and /or on account of participation in the Contest or related to the prize/gift voucher in any manner whatsoever.
  • This Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes, differences and/or any other matters in relation and arising out of this Contest and/or pertaining to the rules and regulations of this Contest shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed by BCCL in accordance with the provisions of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 and any subsequent amendment thereof. The arbitration proceedings shall be held in English and the seat of arbitration shall be at New Delhi. The arbitral award shall be final and binding.
  • All disputes shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction of New Delhi courts only.
  • In accordance with the applicable laws, for any grievance, you may reach the grievance officer of BCCL at mycitymyfestival@timesgroup.com
  • The Privacy Policy located at https://printice.timesresponse.com/plus/mycitymyfestival shall form an integral part of this T&C.
